Misalignments and their corrections are a messy job. They take effort and because of multiple traumas, out of pattern misalignments are the norm. The human body goes through multiple cycles of:

Trauma    >      Misalignment    >      Breakdown       >      Rebalance        >       Trauma

This cycle createsposture patterns that limit the proprioceptive system to balance perfectly and results in stress patterns that overwhelm the physical and neurological structures of our body. These are commonly referred to as out of pattern misalignments (OOPM).  This is often the topic in the advanced biomechanics classes of our profession and has not produced a viable consistent algorithm as a solution.  QSM3 a hand adjusting Upper Cervical procedure has been diligently been re-examining this problem and has evolved a new paradigm that defines the process of “cause to correction”.

Over fifty years ago, Ralph Gregory saw the need to look below the C0/C1/C2 subluxation for answers. His work on the Anatometer (a full spine posture diagnostic), and the words “resistant pathways”, are key indicators of his focus. This shift of looking at “postural data points in the full spine” such as pelvic rotations and tilts, speak for his minds focus. He saw the future and left us a gift and clues to grow our future success.

Over the next few weeks, I will walk through misalignments and discuss the relationships of x-ray, posture, and leg balance. This process that reverses the above flow chart can be broken down into:

  1. Measurability– postural data
  2. Pattern– the relationship of the leg, weight differential, rotation of pelvis and shoulders, compressed BOX, skull tilt
  3. Access– placement of headpiece, patient (full spine), and skull
  4. Remove– The 8 resistant pathways of the Upper Cervical area and 1-4 headpiece patterns
  5. Release– the 3 different types of pathways towards orthogonal and Tensegrity

The human body is alive and is constantly modulating. It may be time to look at our present focus beyond one static area to a dynamic system of Vitalism (full body). For to know the path of relationship breakdown is the first step to reversing it….all you have to do is be OPEN.
